Michael, glad to hear that it worked. I would also try and take out the bushings and clean the inside of the cavity so any old oil and residue built up over all of these years.
If you decide and are able to take the bushings out (make sure you kept left to left and right to right as they are a compound taper), compare the two firing pins for length.
