A great idea David! I took a plain butter spreader with a 1/2" wide blade with rounded tip that mic'd .024 thick and beveled one surface on a fine stone. Then, with the gun in my lap, I pushed the blade down into the barrel gap from the top until it made contact, then lightly hammered it with the heel of my hand while supporting the blade so it didn't bend. After about 4 hits the barrel moved slightly, I took out the spreader, and the barrels came off and the firing pin was free. I sprayed a bunch of GunScrubber into the front and back of the hole and wiggled the pin back and forth (while holding the butt upside down so the stuff would not get into the wood) and it seems a little freer now. I will let it drain overnight and put the locks back in and dry fire it into a wooden block until I am satisfied the sticking is gone. I cant tell you how much anxiety and (probably) money you saved me! Thanks so much.
