Stephen, I have several long range & wildfowl guns in several different configurations. Some have 3" chambers, some 2-3/4" some have a reinforced lug on the barrel some don't so they seem to be just what they are as they came from the factory. I thought at 1st they had to have 3" chambers, as you would think as well as a reinforced lug but the more of them you see it really shows there isn't any set pattern to them.
