    If you could post pictures it would help a lot.

    Years ago, and I believe it was a member, knew someone that worked for Ithaca and said Hunter Arms would ship guns to them for plating when called for.

    Now here is something to ponder, Hunter Arms in Fulton had a plating room for doing parts for their bicycles. But was it chrome plating or nickel?

    Here is a 1927 Ideal Grade that is plated, I can't tell if it is nickel or chrome. From what I have read, nickel has a yellowish cast to it. You can see near some of the scroll where it is lifting. The engraving is still very sharp.
    Was it done at Hunter Arms, any ones guess.
