Zachary, it was a soft solder that was used. If you can find 50/50 that would be good. I'm guessing 60/40 would work also. The flux would be what is used for each. If you are going to heat the barrels with a torch, make sure you wrap the barrels a few inches apart and put a wedge in between the bailing wire so that the top rib does not come loose.
