Thank you very much! So you think the Hunter One Non Selective trigger is what I call an inertia trigger, meaning, as you suggested, the second trigger may not "set" without the recoil produced from the firing of a shotgun shell by the first (right) barrel. I know the Hunter One Non Selective single trigger always fires the right barrel on the first pull and left barrel on the second. Firing (snapping) the locks on snap caps would explain this (no recoil from the pull of the first trigger to set the second trigger) but if this is the case, why does the second trigger set ---sometimes----when using snap caps?????????????????????????????????? The trigger appeared to be clean---what I could see of it in the lock mortise. Also, Doug Turnbull Restorations did a complete restoration of the gun in 2012 and it has never left the house since I received it. I told Mr. Turnbull's manager overseeing the restoration to make absolutely sure the trigger worked before the gun was shipped back to me. When I received the gun I cocked the barrels and "fired" the gun with snap caps to several times make sure the trigger worked and it did as it has since 2012 until a couple of days ago when this started. I don't think it's dirt, dust etc. because surely everything was cleaned and lubricated by Turnbull before the gun was returned and like I said the triggers always worked until a couple of days ago on snap caps.

Maybe it is, as you suggested, the lack of recoil from firing of the first barrel with a shotgun shell, but again, if this is the case why does the trigger fire the left lock (most of the time) when snap caps are used? Befuddled Bill
