Hello Greg, I am new to this site. I have a Field Grade made in 1928 from my Grandfather. He sent the gun back to the factory in 1933 and got an extra set of barrels made for the gun. The barrels have the same serial number as does the wooden fore end. I know this because he kept all the letters that Hunters Arms Company sent him to respond to his request. I have the price list and the tag that was hung on the gun while it was in the factory having the barrels made. He gave $25 dollars for the barrels in 1933. Not sure if this will help you but it seams as if the guns serial numbers match it was sent back to the factory should bring a premium.
