David, if the condition that Mike describes continues, it is not normal. When you close the barrels onto the receiver the top lever should return to an inline position. If you have to constantly push the lever to the right, close the barrels and then move the lever to the inline position then the lever stem isn't contacting the spring correctly or the spring is broken. You will probably need a competent gunsmith with knowledge of LC Smiths to repair this for you. As before, keep us advised and someone will help you. Thanks, Tom
