I've glassed the head of the stock (had a dickens of a time getting that top bolt/spring assembly back in place). Like yourself I'd like to stay in that 1 oz. to 1 1/8 oz. shot load at 1150 - 1250 fps.
From what I've read on the internet there isn't a real good quality product available aside from Hull Cartrdg. I have another gun but I'd love to take the smooth handling, positive pointing, good fitting LC.
