32 grams is 1-1/8 ounces @1450 fps could be considered too much recoil for a Elsie with a old oil soaked stock head. It's not the pressure but the forces from the recoil of that shot load at 1450 fps. Lower the shot load or slow the fps down to reduce the recoil. I shoot 1-1/8 at 1200 on a glassed stock headed Elsie with out concerns, on un glassed stock heads 7/8 ounce @ 1150.
