I've used a few boxes of the AA12FL8 "FeatherLite" loads, and I thought they were surprisingly effective. Most were subsonic (listed velocity is 980), but some were probably over 1100 ft./sec. They felt like shooting a .22 rifle in a FW 12 ga. I used to have. Remington STSLR8 is listed at 1 1/8 oz. of 8's at 1,100 ft./sec. and may be worth a try. Remington also used to make a Low Recoil/Low Noise load of 7/8 oz of 8 1/2's at 1,100 ft. sec., but I don't see them on their website any more. If you don't reload, I suggest you look into the RST listings. Most of those will have recoil levels at the level of the 20 ga. loads in chamber inserts, and will be more satisfactory overall.
