Just got back from Kansas Hunt with friends. We camped at the Jetmore, KS city lake and hunted around Jetmore area on 10th and 11th picking up 11 pheasants, 2 quail and an unplanned 8 point with the truck at 5:55 pm on Hwy 156 about 1.5 miles before we made it back to camp.
The best hunting on the 12th and 13th seemed to be in Trego County. Goto Map 8 in the WIHA numbers 149 and 150. These were best. 149 was hunted with no dogs and about a dozen roosters were flushed from the plum thicket of the old farmstead.
Trego County seemed to allow you more WIHA in freshly cut grain.
