Well I must amend my remarks. Better numbers than previousI hunted private ground vicinity Great Bend KS, and had fairly good success, although not with my LC as it is to Keith Kearcher for a top lever spring. The group averaged 4.5 birds per hunter over two days. We should have had more, but recovering wounded birds was a disaster (lost at least 7). The very thick brush (it rained alot this year) linked to poor shooting. Reports from those in our group who hunted opening weekend was that the opener was a bust because of crops still uncut and high temperatures and second weekend was a big plus.
