Thank you so much for the feedback, even if it's not very encouraging. The (albeit) secondhand info I've been hearing has been far-more upbeat. Even the Kansas DOW web-page seems more optimistic about the bird numbers. Oh well, the best time to go (as with many fun things) is when you can. We've already had our first snow here (even though it was only a mere skiff!) and they're calling for a bit more this week. Perhaps the cooling weather, combined with some farmers busily harvesting-away will turn the tide. At least there should be a few birds left, right?
