    Prices for letters Archived Message

In the next few weeks, we will place instructions on how to request a research letter from the LCSCA. We will post an example or two of letters so that you will know what to expect. When those instructions and examples are posted, I will put a notice on the Forum. Our goal was to initiate writing research letters near the first of the year, but we may be ready to start before then.

The prices for LCSCA generated research letters will be $40 for members and $60 for all others. For that fee, you will receive a letter containing all of the information in the records about your shotgun printed on a reproduction of an early Hunter Arms Company letterhead. The heavy-weight paper will be 100% cotton rag and acid-free. It will have an embossed seal and will be placed in an archival plastic slip cover that will fit into a 3-ring binder. It will be mailed flat and protected from being bent.

The goal of the LCSCA is to produce an accurate, attractive, high quality research certificate in the form of a letter.
