    Keith as far as re-tapping another trigger guard to fit an L.C. Smith, not likely. The thread for the L.C. Smith is 13-28. So the size would be 13 and the threads 28 to the inch. Still can find 28 threads but not the #13, they make 10-28, 12-28., 1/4-28, but that is not going to help you.

    Your best bet is to buy a trigger quard and have it lengthened like Ken said.
