Jim nice gun. The condition looks decent from your photos. From your description and photos It is a Quality 2. I couldn't make out the writing on the barrels but it looked like Syracuse. I couldn't find the serial number it might be some of the lost numbers.
Also it is an extractor gun, not ejector. If it was an ejector gun the part where the shells are lifted out when you break it open would be split in two and there is a tell tale pin on the forend that is the easiest way to tell. (it holds the cocking plates in place whereas an extractor gun has no pin, there is a tiny screw that holds the cocking plate in on the inside of the forend metal.
The wood looks good I didn't see any cracks near the ends of the side-plates. The barrels looked good in the pictures but close up are there any pitts inside or out? I would have the chokes miked up to make sure that the barrels weren't honed out leaving the barrels wall thickness thin. Common back then for these "elsies" to have longer barrels 30"-32", full/ful or mod/full chokes and a rare find one with 26" barrels, not cut.
Good luck and hope that you will join the L.C. Smith Collectors Association and keep us posted.
