Old Gun for Skeet & Trap Archived Message

I have recently purchased a beautiful L.C. Smith serial 53576. 30" barrel m/f field grade. My eyes have finally been opened, L.C. Smiths are amazing works of graceful art.
I have trained myself to shoot skeet and trap with modern side by sides, bazookas compared to the Smith. Side by sides are the only way that I want to shoot the sport. I would love to take my new 1923 L.C. Smith and break clays.
Can I use it for trap?
What is your advise for a field grade skeet gun?
Can you use old double guns today without abusing them? I love my gun and I am too proud of it to leave it on display at home. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.
