Marvin, you may not think you are a collector but you are. We all here are. Some buy guns for shooting some for investment some for pride of ownership. I started this hobby as a way of investing money long term in something I could appreciate more than a stock certificate. I purchased guns with options for future resale value. Now I look for good condition shooters for personal use. We evolve and appreciate all these guns for different reasons. In my opinion there is no gun more beautiful than a Smith straight grip. The flow of the lines down the barrels through the lockplates uninterrupted by grip is unmatched. Enjoy them for whatever reason, Just enjoy.
