Rick, nice inheritance to have. With a little care you will be able to pass it on also. I'll try to help with what I know. Usually if shipped from the factory with 2 barrels, one should be stamped "2" and if you paid the extra money you could have had a separate fore end. A lot were sent back to the factory and a second set of barrels were made for them, again extra for the fore end. The only way to tell if your gun came with an extra set of barrels would be to write and get a letter from the Cody Museum. Give as much information as you can on the gun and they will give you a letter back stating when it was made, shipped, sold to whom, etc. I know the price is going up for this, so I would call and ask if you are interested.
