Thanks John for that much needed info. Yes, you are correct in the re-bluing issue. I've had good success in re-bluing old doubles, with the hot blu process. I refinish, and polish to grade, and then immerse in the tank at 275 deg. for about 2 min. Take out, and rinse in cold flowing water, scrup clean again, and dip again. I repeat this process about 6-7 times, and I can get the same results as a rust finish. Or so I think! hee...I'm not too worried about the blu process, but I'll be danged if I cant find a stock set for it. Hmmmmm, I'll take your advice, and do some searching. Thanks agian.....Jeb.
