    Hubertus, that is the first one I have heard of. The good news is that you still have the original stock which can be fixed to look like new. Do you still have the original forend?
    If you are saying the carved bird is a "raised carving", and the wood fits around the sideplates flush, well Hunter Arms Co. would do anything you requested upon reason.
    Post some pictures.
    Also I believe you added one too many serial numbers.
    The FW is Featherweight, the "I" is for Ideal Grade, and the E is for ejectors.
    With your numbers I believe the gun was made in 1942.
