I called someone in Niles and they confirm, there is an English and Foreign Language station most likely WKTA, both on 95.9. Depends how you orient the antenna. Next time I am mobile in the area, I will check it out, but 2 translators so close on 95.9 is a joke, even if the art of making FM signals directions has become so better.
WEEF-AM 1430 is on 99.1FM Deerfield
WRDZ-AM 1300 is on 104.7 in Chicago and 103.1 in Tinley Park
WNVR-AM 1030 is on 107.1 in Vernon Hills. Another close spaced one with CHIRP radio in Chicago on the same frequency but it actually is worthwhile considering their putrid night signal that is directional away from the city.
The FM crowding is not an issue. The amount of interference being generated is the issue. The AM band is becoming less crowded as signals are going dark.
