I've given a lot of thought to Ingrid's response to my song, though. While I don't take her insults personally, I do wonder why she is so mired in the racial issue. I've been hearing a lot about various militant Latino groups in California, however, that are strictly racist in orientation. Stories about once mostly African-American neighborhoods that are now populated by Hispanics who have vowed to keep Blacks out of "their" neighborhood. Recently, a deal was struck between a group of African-American citizens and a group of Latinos to "allow" the Black citizens to traverse the "Latino" neighborhood to get to a particular grocery store. There are also reports of Latino spokespeople denouncing America and vowing to Hispanicize our country. Tell me, now - who's being racist here? It ain't me! There's a war brewing and I'm just trying to jog people's complacency about it before we lose our national identity altogether. Like I said, I'm no skin-head, but I do love our country, I respect our way of life and I think people that come here from other countries, whether they're here legally or not, should assimilate into OUR culture - not the other way around.
