Yes, my point has always been about enforcing our laws. I've never had a problem with immigrants who come here by the book. But somehow, without capitalizing the word ILLEGAL some people assume that I am against any people immigrating to the U.S. Not so! But I also want to point out that when people go through the process of attaining U.S. citizenship they are required to learn Americanese as well as study American history and civics. This involves a committment to become an American, and the people who do go through this process, by and large, have a great respect for the privilege of being able to start a new life here. They do not come into the country against our laws and begin making demands, as do the people that I'm objecting to. I don't know how many more ways I can say it to make it clear that I am not xenophobic. For those who disagree with me, please tell me how you would have things be? I'm really getting tired of defending my position on this without getting my point across. To those who shout "racist" at my point of view - please describe the America you invision. Do you advocate a total open border policy? Is that a good idea, given the flow of drugs, terrorism and other problems that come with that? I think we have a duty to protect ourselves from these dangers, but we're not doing a good job of it. And because we're required to be politically correct and sit on our hands while the invasion goes on unchecked, we'll soon lose the America that we've known all our lives.
