Posted by Norm on December 26, 2006, 12:23 am, in reply to "Re: Nick Reynold" Well, it was about the best hour or so I recall in eons. Nick answered all sorts of dopey questions of course, but we talked about our own "Trio Clone" groups, and what it was like for the KT those first several top of the charts years, Dave leaving, Nick's return, etc. We bought ourselves (and Nick) a nice very late supper, and kept the bottles of Red Dog coming for us all. It got late, and he bid us farewell to hit the sack, and we kinda just sat there for a bit enjoying the moment. One of my pals said "I can't believe I was here buying dinner and chatting with the guy who sang 'M.T.A.!!!" Great evening I'll always cherish. Meanwhile, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Bob and Meri, and all you folks! Been awhile since I dropped in...won't be so long I don't think in the future. :-)

I'm not sure where I read it, but I believe the DVD interview was recorded not too long after Nick's stroke. I thought I had also read he is MUCH improved in the "speech" department. I hope this is all true. I, and two friends, had a great post-concert time with Nick in Mentor, Ohio maybe 6 or 7 years ago (time flies!). We went back to the hotel the guys were staying in to get some food (no supper that night), and hoping maybe they'd hit the restaurant/lounge. Well, Nick sauntered in--it was pretty deserted, and Nick sat at the bar alone to get some food and a beer. We let that last a whole 30 seconds before we invited him to our table. I think he was genuinely happy to 1)have someone to be with, and 2)recognized!
