Posted by Norm on January 12, 2007, 12:40 am, in reply to "Re: Nick Reynolds" Mostly it was ruminations of hitting the "wall of fame" in what seemed like a flash; non-stop concerts and huge chunks of an entire year on tour. It's kind of difficult to get an overall "fix" on any one theme...first, we were eating a meal, and since none of the 3 of us "fans" there are writers or interviewers, it became more a matter of what we might've wished we had talked about on our way back home. All I know is it was over way too soon, even though it had been well beyond an hour. AT that point with the re-upping of Nick with Bob and George, the physical problems were beginning to take their toll--particularly on that machine-gun like strum of his. Some faster numbers he was literally playing in half-time. It was a great evening though, and probably the third or second last time I got to see Nick in concert with Bob and George. Sorry I don't have some magazine-article like run down of 20 questions, but I think we were trying not to be too obnoxious. Nick was as interested in what we did for vocations, so we did spend some time talking about ourselves (ahem!). ;>)

Nick really didn't get into the departure of Dave much. I think that topic is pretty off-limits to Nick and Bob (at least talking about it in any intimate detail to essentially, strangers). He was quick to praise John, and of course their friendship was close, well after the 1967 "retirement" of the NBJ Trio.
