There was a festival downtown of where I live.
I decided to take the Chevette, so I warmed it up first. I got there no problem.
But an hour or so when I tried to leave, it seemed totally dead as far as there wasn't even a clicking or a slow turn over noise. Lights worked just fine.
Even during a jump nothing at all. I called for a tow truck. Before the tow truck arrived I tried again and it started right up. About 2.5 hours of total cooling time.
I drove it home just fine and it started up twice at home just fine.
It's about 85 here so I know the engine was hot. I do admit the battery may not be at a full charge but never when it was starting did it crank over slow.
Does this seem like a starter issue? I used to have an old Monte Carlo that wouldn't start when it was hot, but I would off of a jump.
Thanks
