mjm, can you find it in your heart to want to wring the neck of speeders, people that run stop signs and driving while texting? I see people run the stop sign in front of my house non stop, and many of them were speeding before running the stop sign. I see people texting also when driving and it does bother me, just perhaps not to the extent that it does Opie2. An officer could sit at the end of Marigold Drive and write stop sign violations and speeding tickets until his arm went numb from writing, because for so long people have got used to driving in this neighborhood the way they damn well please. I dont see as many texting as i do ignoring other traffic laws, but i know they are all over the place also. What it comes down to i guess is priorities. We have to assume that the police have other responsibilities that are more important than writing traffic tickets and chasing down people texting while driving. Some days i almost bite a hole in the side of my cheek in doing it, but 95% of the time i support the police and what they do.
