I also agree with most of what runner said. I urge everyone to attend one of the meetings...Mr. Greenwald and staff, as well as most of the school board were on hand to answer all questions and concerns... I do not believe that pay increases to teachers/admin. have been excessive ( teachers got 1% spread out over 3years). and therefore created this financial problem.... I do believe the State Funding has decreased as well as property assessments... If this referendum passes it will allow the district to maintain the schools as they are...NOT CREATE ADDITIONAL MONEY TO BE USED FOR RAISES.... As far as using the children as pawns to get what they want.....I disagree with that statement. I do not believe this is the case.... Given that $10,000,000 have already been borrowed to keep the school at the level it is...the district can not continue to borrow money (that must be payedback with interest) and keep all the extras (sports,band etc.) Just my opinion
