I agree with much of what you said there Lib. Unions do have their place. I just feel if they're in public education they should be subject to the same rules of other public employees. That being no strkes allowed. We agree, teachers work hard. Many are grossly underpaid. Some, a minority of the whole, should write checks back to their districts each week. Robbing pension plans will indeed kill the profession. Who would want to teach until they are in their 70's? For that matter, who would want their child taught by someone that age?
