What I'm not understanding is how or why a few of you keep saying, "give him a chance." The city has rules for liquor licenses and is standing by those rules. His business is too close to a couple of "sensitive" locations as he himself stated in one of his early posts on this subject, when he explained what the city had told him when they turned him down.
I respect the gentleman for operating his own business in a declining environment for 11 years, and knowing what he needs to improve his business. However, to expect the city to either (A)change a previous decision when no influencing factors have changed, or (B)bend the rules to meet his needs, would be similar to me asking for approval to drink at work because my wife won't let me drink at home.
