: When I took my '68 apart I found some
: PO
: had already cut the cross member for
: removal. Is it possible Triumph welded
: the cross member in after the tank was
: in place? Sounds ridiculous, but I
: know of no one who's gotten it out
: otherwise.

: Hi everyone. Need some help. Can't
: get
: my 69 Triumph GT 6 gas tank out. I
: would appreciate any help I can get.
: Thanks,

: Pittsburgh, PA area
: Slather the entire tank with soap, take
: a tire iron and pry up the crossbar as
: far as possible, lower the tank then
: attempt to squeeze it past those bolt
: holes without damaging it. It can be
: done, it's just not intended to have
: been necessary. There are so many
: things unnecessary on an early british
: sports car, like working lights, window
: cranks and windshield heaters. That's
: why the manuals for them are a pleasure
: to read and,if you buy a british car,
: you'll have plenty of opportunities to
: read them.
