Dave, the question was what are the differences, not what do I wish. The aforementioned are the primary differences. There already exists a "mid level" anesthesia provider that does not have these limitations. It is called a CRNA, the group that is much reviled by the ASA for our refusal to be "supervised" by them and by determining our own practice. True nothing is graven in stone but the push for AA's by the ASA is not about shortages but about control. Now if you think the ASA is going to give up that control over AA's voluntarily when they continue to try to TAKE it from CRNA's you are kidding yourself. Please do not feel compelled to post random wishes or tangents because I am posting. Example nothing is graven in stone, I could get lucky and you could loose your license and become an AA. I mean if we are posting could be's and wishes you know?
