The difference is 1. AA's MUST be supervised by an anesthesiologist, unlike CRNA's who can be completely unsupervised. 2. AA's practice less regional anesthesia anesthesia The reasons for these differences are that the AAAA is a subset of the ASA that does not set it's own practice, basically yes men for the ASA. This does not mean they are bad providers, just heavily exploited.
