I have to agree with you 100% Dave J, It's not about titles It's about the PATIENT period. the AANA knows there's a major shortage of Anesthesia providers mainly CRNAs&MDAs. Although I have to give a little support to the MDAs, why ? because the MDAs are now waking up and realizing that they have a crisis on there hands with not enough Anesthesia Providers across the nation. We need both Anesthetists(CRNAs/AA-Cs)in all 50 states.
This is why the MDAs are pushing to open more AA schools and pushing other states, to open the doors for AA-Cs as the solution of Anesthesia shortage by integrating AA-Cs into the ACT Model as Mid-Level Anesthesia Providers.
I said it once and I will say it again Dave J, you need to be the President of the AANA(Of your own Society).
