We would love to see a picture of your lovely Minton plate. I have a very similar coffee cup and saucer. The willow pattern is 3.25" on the saucer and 1.75" on the cup. The willow inner border and central pattern are included in that measurement. There is no gold on the edge of the willow center motif; however, just at the rim of the cup and of the saucer. The rest of the pattern is a white background with symbolic emblems similar to the "trophies" that Robert Copeland describes and illustrates in his "Fitzhugh" Chapter in SPODE'S WILLOW PATTERN. One symbol is a double scroll, and another looks like a stylzed mask. There are crossed swords and two others. The narrow border at the rim has rectangles with a large X in each one and dot at each opening of the X. So, there are similarities, but differences also. In additon the pattern number on my cup and saucer is G2390. I am searching for a photo of my pieces and will post it when found (or when I get Scot to take another photo!) It will probably be difficult to find another plate in your pattern. The cup and saucer are the only pieces I have seen. They are not pictured in my book because I purchased them after writing it. My pieces are bone china and the saucer has impressed MINTON. Thanks for contacting us!
