Thanks for sending these photos! Since reading about your plate on the Message Board, I went through a bunch of photos as well as the Catalogs from the various IWC Conventions where we put in photos, marks and information about willow that we hadn't seen before. In the 1995 Catalog, I found a plate just like yours, but haven't seen one since. How is that for hard to find? If you have a copy of that IWC Catalog, the photo is Plate 32, Mark 20.
The pattern was evidently made for several years because the one in the IWC Catalog was impressed MINTON (c. 1862-1871). If there were other marks such as an impressed date or painted pattern number, it is not recorded. Your plate seems to have impressed MINTONS. The firm added 'S' to the name in 1871. In addition, you have an impressed triangle with circle inside that is the date mark for 1878.
My son will be here tomorrow with his camera, so I will have him take a picture of my cup and saucer so you can see it.
