I used to have pretty hands, and I always kept my nails polished. Now, I keep them short, so I don't do the same with my thin skin. The veins are very prominent, and the arthritis has left my fingers twisting so they look horrible. I can still do things with them like type, knit, etc., but I have a very hard time holding heavy objects with my right one. It seems I can't even flatten it out any more.
