I do the same as Lynne. I have a pen in each purse (I use only 2 now), at my desk here, on the coffee table where I set every afternoon and on my calendar.

As far as an obsession is concerned, the pieces I cut off (ends) from my knitting or crocheting I tie together and wind into a ball. I've been doing this since the 60s when someone suggest I do it and knit them all together pushing the ends to one side, like shag carpeting . That doesn't work, by the way. I've had enough to start an afghan.
