In Pa Dutch land the potato filling is eaten in place of plain mashed potatoes. It consists of buttery mashed potatoes, to which is added celery onion and bread cubes browned in butter. Add a raw egg and bake until brown on top. Leftovers made into patties and fried in butter are good too. Lots of butter in this dish
