I learned, when I had the heart attack, to stop trying to ignore something that is different. My first thought was to brush it off thinking it would go away, but then I thought, I had good insurance, and it would be better safe than be sorry, so I called 911. When I was wheeled into the ER I felt like I'd made a mistake because by that time I seemed to be okay. After taking my blood and waiting for what seemed like forever (probably an hour) the doctor came in and said that, yes, I was having a heart attack, and they were going to take me to the cardiac wing and check me in. I cried. The nurse, a very big young guy, put his arm around me to comfort me. Believe me, I am ready now. I have a little cross body bag with my driver's license, credit card, medical cards, keys and sunglasses ready. I also have a bottle of baby aspirin there too. I'd read an article that advised that if you suspect a heart attack to: 1. Call 911 2. Unlock the door 3. Take an aspiring (or 4 baby aspirins) I've added the little bag. I have my phone and charger handy too.
