We used to have decent prices that normal folks could get a small loan and either build their homes, or find one that sold for less than the wealthiest could afford. Then the Californians sold their homes at exorbitant prices, moved up here, bought everything they could, fancied them up with what they'd saved on buying Oregon property, and now they want to sell them at California prices.
Even a piece of land with a shack on it costs a fortune.

Like MA, I would never pay the prices they ask for buying anything, and you can't even rent anything for less that $1200 a month, that is decent to live in. It would be easier and cheaper to find a place like Lucie has and live there. No costs of mending broken things! It's sad things are outrageously priced.
