When and where I grew up the grade schools, junior high and high school started at the same time every year and ended the same time every year. Made things simple.

This month, my granddaughter Ashley and grandson Jake have birthdays. School starts for Rene'. She is a kindergarten teacher. I'm sure she's already getting ready.

Other than my usual line-up of doctor's appointments, nothing special is planned for me but to finish decorating my front door/porch.

I can't believe how this year has flown by. Geeze - it'll be Christmas before you know it.
