I live animals particularly wild ones.BUT yesterday I discovered deer had.dined on my prize tomatoe plant and black eyed susans.I have been watching the ripening process on my first tomato.I have the plant on the edge of a patio area of the front porch.The chomped on parts were on the outside facing the yard so my first red tomato was not harmed.

I hung Irish spring soap and sprinkled hot pepper flakes on the area and on the tomato cage.A walker guards the cluster of tomatoes on the porch side.I have basil plants in pots also.They supposedly aren't liked by deer.

So this morning as I got the morning paper I saw that my pot of flowers on the porch had been disturbed.One begonia was pulled out of the soil and the others were eaten down to the soil level.

I had stuck white plastic forks around the edge of the big pot because it says they repel critters because they look alien to them.Ha me thinking flowers and tomato plants are not my thing.
