Three days before my husband died we were at a PVA board meeting.It was Flag Day and my husband had taken a sandwich bag full of small,good quality tac pins of the American flag and he gave each member of PVA a pin to wear as they entered the office for the meeting.He loved the flag and all it stands for.All the pins were given out but in comes a lady late to the meeting.He took off his flag pin and gave it to her and said it is flag day.

My town has flags out on the streets and there are photo posters of veterans on poles also.I am going to the cemetery to place a flag on my husband's grave.Pause and think about what the flag means to you today.
