On the way to an Urgent Care early yesterday I observed a middle aged homeless lady.It was early morning and she caught my attention because she was using a large glass window straightening her hair and adjusting her dress.The business had not opened yet.Her full shopping cart was over overflowing with her belongings just a few feet away from her.

I wondered where she had slept and where she would spend the day.She was attractive with long red hair.She obviously cared about how she looked and had modest clothing.

I always see men begging throughout town and a few old women but she was different.I wondered if she chose to live on the street.She looked happy.During the morning rush traffic it was obvious that no one was paying attention to her.As I returned the same way I came in town I looked for her but it was as if she vanished.

Homelessness is everywhere.I think some choose it as a way of life not because of mental health but because of the freedom it gives.
