The best source of information is Ancestry.com. Thanks to those in the Macon side of my family, there is so much information it boggles the mind. Also, they've started a Face Book page, Descendants of Gideon Macon. I rarely keep up with it, but I see where individuals ask questions when they are doing research and find a connection to the Macon name.
