When I used to go to the Macon Familie Reunions every year our information was put on a CAD System and every year it was printed out to bring to the reunion. It would reach around almost 3 walls of the conference rooms we'd use.

I ordered my line from Gideon Macon who came to America in the 1600s. I am 9th great granddaughter. Every year births and deaths would be added to the chart along with new members who'd discovered their linage. It was so fascinating to see.

One cousin traced our line back to the 1300s but didn't have the documentation to prove it. Gideon Macon's family originated in de Macon, France and supposedly his family were Hugonauts (sp) who went into England.

I have been so fascinated, and I wish I knew more. I credit those who have researched and dug into archives to piece it all together.

Lurell, I know you are one of those genealogists who probably know more about their lineage and can trace it way, way into the past. I commend you.
