Its a lot to think about. A friend sold her house and she and her husband moved nto basement quarters at her daughter's. She tought it would be good because her daughter is a nurse and they are both in ther 80's with health issues. She hates it.

Never gave assisted living a thought. I thought id be in my house until i died and then bam, everything happened at once.
Be glad you have options and time to weigh the pros and cons. Ts a lot to consider.

And i live in a State that gets cold and my house had a basement and te basement was damp and cold. That was my house. Her house might be different.
